2.1. Lining Up Mailing Labels to Print

When creating mailing labels, the print settings must be correct before sending the labels to the printer. If not, the labels will not format correctly when printed. The following example is a guideline for all mailing labels, but are more specific to Avery 5160 Mailing labels.
Example:

  1. Acrobat Page Scaling set to none (see Note below)
  2. Font Size: 12
  3. Line Height: 10
  4. Page Left Margin: 0.5"
  5. Page Top Margin: 0.5"
  6. Label Width is 2.75"
  7. Label Height is 1"
  8. 3 columns and 10 rows
  9. No spaces between rows and columns
  10. Vertical and horizontal padding: 0.5"
  11. Depending on the type of font you use, you may have to adjust the margins to fit your text.

Note: In order to set Page Scaling to 'none', you must "Save As" an Adobe PDF, and then open the document directly from Adobe.  You will not have the option to set the scaling to none if you open the document from PowerSchool.
