How To Use the New Scheduling Engine on Windows Based Web Browsers
Powerschool supports the use of the following web browsers for Powerscheduler Scheduling Engine use:
Supported Browsers
Firefox - Latest two versions (OSX 10.8, 10.9, and 10.10) Chrome - Latest two versions (OSX 10.8, 10.9, and 10.10) Safari 6 on OSX 10.8, 7 on OSX 10.9, 8 on OSX 10.10
Firefox
On the start page, choose PowerScheduler under Applications in the main menu. The Scheduling page appears.
Click either the Build or Load link
Select the procedure selections as normal.
Click "Execute".
On the Opening engine.psengine dialog, select Save File, then OK.
Click the Downloads icon
Double click the engine.psengine file.
A java console should pop up, launching the engine.
Once completed, select the appropriate (Q) to view the results.
Chrome
On the start page, choose PowerScheduler under Applications in the main menu. The Scheduling page appears.
Click either the Build or Load link
Select the procedure selections as normal.
Click "Execute".
Locate the downloads bar (normally on the bottom of the browser)
Double click the engine.psengine file.
A java console should pop up, launching the engine.
Once completed, select the appropriate (Q) to view the results.
Internet Explorer
On the start page, choose PowerScheduler under Applications in the main menu. The Scheduling page appears.
Click either the Build or Load link
Select the procedure selections as normal.
Click "Execute".
Locate the Download Dialog, select Open.
A java console should pop up, launching the engine
Once completed, select the appropriate (Q) to view the results.
Safari
On the start page, choose PowerScheduler under Applications in the main menu. The Scheduling page appears.
Click either the Build or Load link
Select the procedure selections as normal.
Click "Execute".
On the Open or Save Dialog, select Save.
In the Downloads dialogue, find the engine.psengine file
Right click the engine.psengine file, and select Show Containing Folder
Select Open With, and click Java Platform
A java console should pop up, launching the engine
Once completed, select the appropriate (Q) to view the results.
